Are There Any Side Effects?
Like all treatments, Morpheus8 does have side effects. Immediately after the treatment you will experience redness, swelling and small marks or bruising to the area treated. We recommend that you refrain from touching your skin to prevent infection. In the days following treatment, you may experience areas of the skin that feel tight and appear shiny. Peeling or flaking from the skin is also common. Most patients can return to their usual activities within 1-2 days post-treatment although care must be taken to protect the area/s treated from sun exposure by using sun protection daily.

When will I see results from Morpheus8?
Visible results can begin to be seen 1-2 weeks after your first treatment. The best results are seen after 3 weeks as this is when the production of new collagen and elastin will start to take effect. Results can last up to 3-6 months following your last treatment.

How Many Treatments Will I need?
The number of treatments needed depends on your individual needs. However, most patients require between 3 treatments spaced 4 – 6 weeks apart for best results. The number of treatment sessions required will be dependent on your age, skin type, and desired outcome. During your consultation, our expert skin practitioner will be able to provide a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve the results. A maintenance treatment may be recommended to maintain your results.
How Long Does it Take?
Each session takes about thirty to forty-five minutes to complete. You may be asked to come in an hour before your appointment to allow time for a topical numbing cream to be applied. You may notice immediate improvement following each treatment, but it typically takes four weeks before you see long-term benefits.
Is Morpheus8 Body Treatment Painful?
Morpheus8 is a form of microneedling, so some discomfort is likely to be felt during treatment. Numbing is cream applied to the area being treated an hour ahead of treatment. Although discomfort may be felt at times, the treatment is certainly bearable, and our expert practitioner will help to ensure that you are feeling as comfortable as possible throughout the treatment.

This treatment also has a reduced risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which can often occur with other types of resurfacing treatments that aren’t suitable for all skin types. The ideal patient for Morpheus8 is beginning to see the visible signs of aging including wrinkles and mild to moderate sagging skin. It is also suitable for patients who are looking to improve the quality of the skin and reduce acne scarring. People who are pregnant, nursing or have active skin conditions such as eczema, sores, psoriasis, or rashes should not receive Morpheus8 treatments.

Morpheus8 is a safe treatment when performed by an experienced practitioner. Morpheus8 is a subepidermal adipose remodeling device (SARD) that is FDA approved. The treatment does create controlled microdamage to the skin, however this should not leave any lasting damage to your skin although you may experience some temporary side effects such as redness, swelling and bruising.

Overall, the downtime for Morpheus8 treatment is minimal however the recovery time required will be dependent on the treatment area sensitivity.

Morpheus8 Body treatments are quite versatile because there are different microneedle configurations: the Prime 12 pin, the Resurfacing 24 pin, the Morpheus8 24 pin, and the Body 40 pin. Each of these configurations has its own depth control to deliver the RF energy at the precise depth required to correct a variety of cosmetic concerns.
