what is KYBELLA?

How does KYBELLA work?
The active ingredient in KYBELLA, deoxycholic acid, breaks down fat cells in the upper neck. After the fat cells are eliminated, these cells will not regenerate. Therefore, additional KYBELLA injections should not be necessary as soon as you have reached your desired outcome.
Can KYBELLA be used to treat other areas of the body?
Right now, KYBELLA can only be used to treat the submental area. KYBELLA can effectively minimize the look of a double chin. KYBELLA hasn't been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for any other areas of the face or body.
Am I eligible for a KYBELLA treatment?
There are a few factors that could make you ineligible to receive a KYBELLA treatment. You must be at least 18 years old, not breastfeeding or pregnant, and cannot have an active infection in or around your neck. Before receiving treatment, you should share any health concerns and your medical history so they can decide if you may be at risk for an adverse reaction from the treatment.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
At your initial consultation, a personalized KYBELLA treatment plan will be tailored to match your needs. Usually, patients receive between 2 – 4 KYBELLA injections before achieving their goals. KYBELLA treatments must also be made about 30 days apart. You should not get any more than six injections.
